1.Overview
DutyPulse ("DutyPulse," "we," "us," or "our") operates GetDutyPulse.com and the DutyPulse tariff and trade compliance digest service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2.Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, company name, and job title/role (e.g., importer, broker, freight forwarder).
- Billing information: processed directly by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
- Preference data: industry sector, product categories, or countries of interest used to personalize your digest.
- Communications: any messages you send us via email or support channels.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, digest open/click activity, login timestamps, and general device/browser information.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication, basic analytics, and remembering preferences. We use Google Analytics 4, a cookie-based analytics provider, to understand site traffic and usage.
3.How We Use Your Information
- To generate and deliver your personalized tariff/trade compliance digest;
- To process subscription billing and manage your account;
- To respond to support requests and communicate service updates;
- To improve the accuracy, relevance, and reliability of digest content;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4.How We Share Information
We share personal information only as necessary to operate the Service, with the following categories of third-party processors:
- AI processing provider (Anthropic) — used to generate plain-English summaries from public regulatory data. Digest content is derived from public government sources; we do not send your personal account data to the AI provider as part of digest generation.
- Email delivery provider (Resend) — used to deliver your digest and account emails.
- Payment processor — used to securely process subscription payments; card data is handled directly by the processor under its own PCI-compliant systems.
- Public government data sources (Federal Register, GovInfo) — these are read-only sources of the underlying regulatory content; no personal information is sent to them.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to affected users).
5.Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and support obligations. Cached regulatory data used to power the Service's resilience/fallback system contains public government content only, not personal information, and is retained separately for service-reliability purposes.
6.Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.Your Rights and Choices
7.1 All Users

7.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA. To exercise these rights, contact customer_support@getdutypulse.com.
7.3 EU/UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EU or UK, our legal basis for processing is generally your consent (at signup) or our legitimate interest in operating the Service. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. If you need additional information or needs further assistance, contact customer_support@getdutypulse.com
8.Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by individuals 18 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
9.International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
10.Changes to This Policy
